For Renée and Christian, that couldn’t be more true.

The couple first met in 2016 while living in Charlotte, North Carolina. As they got to know each other, they discovered an incredible coincidence, despite meeting hundreds of miles from home, they had actually grown up less than 30 minutes apart. Renée is from West Springfield, Massachusetts, and Christian grew up in Ellington, Connecticut.

Although life took them in different directions, their story wasn’t over.

Then, in 2021, they reconnected, and this time everything aligned. From that moment on, their relationship blossomed into a partnership built on shared values, meaningful experiences, and a love of bringing people together.

Working in the airline industry, travel has always been a part of their lives. So, when it came time to plan their wedding, they knew exactly what they wanted: a celebration that would reunite family and friends traveling from around the world in the place they would always consider home—New England.

On the wedding day, her documentary-editorial approach perfectly complemented the rich character of The Society Room. As a result, stunning black-and-white imagery, dramatic architectural perspectives, and genuine emotional moments came together to tell the story exactly as it unfolded.

Perhaps one of Renée’s favorite memories happened after the celebration ended, when Lala gave her a heartfelt embrace before saying goodbye. Ultimately, it was a beautiful reminder that the best vendors often become part of the memories themselves.

Music was one of the couple’s highest priorities from the very beginning.

Naturally, they wanted a live band that would create an unforgettable atmosphere, and Shaded Soul Band delivered exactly that.

Throughout the evening, guests filled the dance floor, highlighted by a live rendition of the couple’s first dance song and a touching tribute honoring Renée’s late father.
