Pamela has had artistic talent since before she could even walk. Her whole life she knew that she would make something out of her creativity and artistic abilities!
Out of high school, Pamela joined the Navy and served our country for six years. She attributes her discipline, time management skills, and attention to detail to her time spent serving in the Navy.
After a six month deployment and being away from her, at the time, one-year-old daughter, she knew her responsibilities as a mother came first. It was then she received an honorable discharge, and decided to get a degree in Sonography and become an Ultrasound Tech...

Like a true makeup lover, Christine’s interest in makeup artistry began long before her career in makeup did. Her interest in makeup started, like most girls, in high school.
Christine was in the color guard and can remember always showing up with fun stage makeup. It didn’t take long for her teammates to want the same look. Before competitions, all her teammates would line up in the bathroom or on the bus waiting for their turn getting one of Christine’s perfected cut crease with winged eyeliner look

Art is a vision of world through a kaleidoscope. An artist is a person who perceives the word though an artistic prism, who reveals the beauty of nature and transmits to the audience through her/his work. Art was always part of my life. Since I was a little girl, I loved painting. I was painting anywhere and everywhere. My passion of painting on a canvas suddenly transformed to painting on the walls, fence, house, pavement, and even my father’s car. Thankfully, my parents....

“Today I see beauty everywhere I go, in every face I see, in every single soul. “
Melissa has been a makeup artist and cosmetologist since 2007. As she loves to do hair at the salon, her passion resides in makeup, especially bridal makeup. As a young girl Melissa was always fascinated with makeup. Watching her mother do her makeup and hair everyday, Melissa began to watch and learn, leading into her adolescent years and experimenting on herself. After high school Melissa wanted to pursue a career in makeup and attend a school in New York. However she was talked out of it and started college instead. Melissa’s family realized she wasn’t happy and asked what she wanted to do. Melissa decided she wanted to go to cosmetology school and once that decision was made she found her love for hair and makeup, and a career she was passionate about. Melissa’s experiences as an artist over the years has been so fulling and include weddings, photo shoots, ad campaigns, back stage work and education.
“I believe everyone has a special gift, mine is to have the ability to enhance people’s natural beauty and help bring out the most confident version of themselves,” say Melissa.
Melissa says, "In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors hiking and soaking up the sun. I also workout a lot and do CrossFit to stay healthy. I’m a huge sushi lover but also like to go out to eat and try new restaurants with friends. My family is everything, especially being a puppy mom to my handsome baby boy Bodhi, a French bulldog."

My passion for the beauty industry started at an early age around 12-13. Coming from a Jewish background, I was constantly attending my cousins' and peers' Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. Getting myself all dressed up, doing my hair and makeup, that's what really sparked it all! Soon after I discovered the opportunity to attend a Technical high school in Meriden CT, where I could study the trade of Cosmetology and get my license by senior year, at age 17. I was excited as ever, and met my wonderful hairdressing mentors who inspired me everyday at school for 4 years.
At 16 I worked at a local salon & spa while attending school, and gained so much insight on what the beauty industry is all about. From reception and customer service, to assisting and learning nail and spa services, I did it all. Once I became licensed in May 2015, I went right to work behind the chair to build more experience in my craft. At my salon I had the opportunity to work at a makeup counter as a makeup artist, where I attended classes and met some wonderful makeup artists working in film and photography.
About a year after graduating from Wilcox Tech, I moved to Enfield, CT, and joined a new hair salon in East Windsor where I learned so much from a talented team of stylists. While working as a hairstylist at the salon, I was able to grow in my makeup artistry as well, doing makeup for clients and any special events that were held. I started working my first job as a bridal hairstylist in 2018. Ever since then, I’ve continued to stay busy with working weddings and special events on weekends, while working in the salon behind the chair during the week. In my free time I enjoy going to music shows of all kinds and being outdoors, hiking with my dog. My typical getaway spots are up north in Vermont or New Hampshire.
In early 2020 I decided to join KissAndMakeup as a hair and makeup artist and it has been such a fun, fulfilling journey. Being able to make others feel more beautiful than they already are, is something I'm grateful for everyday!

Coming from a theatrical background, and with extensive experience in the beauty industry, Adrienne is grateful to be a part of the KiSSandMaKeUp team. Growing up in Phoenix, AZ, she moved to NYC right out of high school to attend The American Musical and Dramatic Academy and study musical theater. She was a part of many productions in and out of the city, including the New York Times Critic’s Pick, Kaspar Hauser: A Foundling’s Opera at The Flea Theater.
Adrienne had always had an interest and curiosity surrounding makeup and artistry, but had never had the training to pursue it. After some research, she decided to attend the program at Chic Studios NYC in the summer of 2010. Upon graduating, she joined the very first team at the flagship location of Impulse Beauty at Macy’s Herald Square. Later, Adrienne was thrilled to become a part of the cast at Sephora SoHo, and was with the company for 5 years.
While at Sephora, Adrienne was able to gain invaluable experience working with a large variety of clients, skin types, and preferences. She was a valued artist working at the beauty studio, and performed countless makeovers. She also learned a good deal about skin care, and how it is the true foundation of a beautiful look. Transferring to the Flatiron location, Adrienne was also able to assist many celebrities with their routines.
In 2016, Adrienne and her husband moved to Connecticut, and she transferred to the West Farms Mall Sephora. During this time, she continued to act, and began to finally crystallize her vision for working as a bridal makeup artist. Thanks to connections she made through colleagues, Adrienne was able to begin freelancing with a bridal makeup company, working all over New England. In the summer of 2021, she made the leap to pursuing her career fully, and really threw herself into any and all artistry opportunities. This led her to KiSSandMaKeUp!
In addition to her bridal work, Adrienne also is passionate about boudoir photography (where she also does a bit of hairstyling), and bringing out the inner confidence inside every woman. Her favorite part of working weddings is feeling like she is a part of a family on one of the most important days in their lives, and making lasting relationships. Outside of the beauty industry, she continues to enjoy acting and singing, and is also a certified Reiki Master. She is a massive fan of drag, Coldplay, Marvel movies, and Coca-Cola. Adrienne always brings her knowledge, skill, and sense of humor to every gig, as well as her professional demeanor. She lives in Ellington with her husband Chris, sons Cillian and Ronan, and a new baby due October of 2022.

“Makeup is Art! Beauty is spirit!”
I could not find the source for that quote, but I always have it in mind when working with my clients. I like to listen to them and understand their personality in order to showcase it in the makeup look they envision for themselves.
After all, clients don’t want to look like everyone else. They want to showcase their own unique self.
I fell in love with makeup back in 2011. Makeup tutorials were starting to become very popular on Youtube and I was fascinated with how transformational makeup could be and eager to learn more about it. So I started watching makeup tutorials then recreating the looks on myself. I would...

As long as I can remember I have always been a part of the beauty industry. I was introduced to pageant modeling at the age of 2. It was so enjoyable when I was younger - it helped a tall girl with big curly hair and brown skin feel beautiful. I grew up being the only girl out of 5 children which allowed me to do beauty pageants on the weekends and play football and video games with my brothers any chance I got. My mom was a hair dresser for as long as I can remember, which is what introduced me into the opposite side of the modeling industry. I learned so many useful skills during this time. I learned how to work with many different people, bonding with them, creating friends, and also figuring out who I was along the way. What started with pageants turned into runway fashion. I found myself in this fast paced environment, ranging from commercials, to runway shows for popular brands, and small designers...

Being born and raised in San Diego, CA sparked a passion for all things bridal early on in my life. I paired that with my passion for hair and decided to pursue a career as a bridal hairstylist.
Growing up, I was lucky to have a mom who always made sure my hair was in cute styles that gave me confidence. She inspired me to learn how to do my own hair when I was about 10. I loved experimenting and expressing myself through my hair. And I got lots of practice styling my sisters' and nieces' hair as well.
By the time I was in middle school, I had my mind made up that I wanted to be a cosmetologist, and I never swayed from that path. I graduated from cosmetology school in 2017 at San Diego City College, and started out working at a blow dry bar, which taught me so much about special event hairstyling. In 2020, I decided to move on and work for a mobile beauty service team. I fell in love with working on bridal parties and have been doing that ever since.
In June of 2022, I got married to my amazing husband, who is from Connecticut. So we decided to move here in 2023 to see if we could build a life here. I love Connecticut so far! It's very different from San Diego, but there are also a lot of similarities. Bridal beauty out here is amazing and there has been a lot of opportunity for growth. I feel so lucky that I get to wake up each day and go to a dream job. It brings so much joy to my life and reminds me that any dream can be turned into a reality.
Some fun facts about me:
• I have an adorable miniature cat named Sassy
• I love Audrey Hepburn
• My favorite genre of music is jazz
• I'm a huge Disney fan
• I have 5 nieces and 3 nephews
esthetician
My name is Krystal and I am a licensed Esthetician here at KiSSandMaKeUp.
I was born in Louisiana but moved around a lot due to my father being in the military. One of the best experiences in my life was living in Italy for 3 years as a kid. Eventually we landed here in CT, where I have now started my own family with my husband and our two beautiful children - the best of both worlds, a 13 year old son and 5 year old daughter.
Before becoming an Esthetician, I worked in many different industries that have all helped shape me to who I am today. I’ve worked in Retail, Hospice, and in school districts in the special education department. I’ve learned you have to meet people where they are and now with my new skills I want to help them feel as beautiful as possible. I have always loved the beauty industry but didn’t quite know where I would fit in. Without even realizing, my hair dresser inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and try something that made me excited daily. This is when I I found Esthetics and have loved every single part of this industry since the moment I stepped into school. I love giving facials, it’s relaxing to me and for my guest all while treating their skin care concerns. I have guests apologize for falling asleep or snoring and truthfully that is the best compliment. Another service I love to perform is eye lash lift and tints for those who want natural looking lashes.
The beauty industry is always evolving and my everyday goal is to grow with this industry. Furthering my education by learning new techniques, perfecting my skills and always being open to new services to offer my guests. I look forward to meeting and connecting with you when you come to our spa.
