It’s Wednesday, so it’s only right we take this time to do what we do best. Talk about weddings! Featured Bride posts are one of our favorites to write about, because we love, love. And we love being a part of our brides special day! And while we’re at it, we like to share the work of our artists and talented vendor friends!
Today’s featured bride, Kali, married her Prince Charming in the perfect fall ceremony. When we say perfect, we mean the foliage was p-e-r-f-e-c-t! The autumn colors, mixed with their theme, their venue and their family and friends made this a brag worth wedding!
As always, let’s start with Kali and Jon’s love story. Honestly, this is our favorite part! Jon & Kali met each other over 4 years ago in one of those moments that make you believe that ‘everything happens for a reason’. While they say that it wasn’t love at first site, their relationship grew rather quickly and Kali says she knew that Jon was “the one” early on.
Both Kali and Jon love traveling (to Maine, Arizona and Costa Rica), hiking, and skiing. Not long after they began dating, Kali and Jon moved in together and adopted their dog Kona, rounding out their perfect little family. It was only a matter of time before they made it an official family.
How did you choose your venue?
This venue was an easy decision. I wanted a rustic barn atmosphere and to get married in the Fall. The Ranch checked off both of these requirements. Plus I knew my photographer (and friend), Alison Marie Photography had photographed several weddings there and loved it! Bonnie at The Ranch is wonderful; very helpful and always responded to my emails.
Which vendor did you have the hardest time finding/deciding on?
I was a lucky bride in the sense that all my vendors were not difficult to find (the venue [The Ranch] was the easiest). If I had to pick the hardest vendor to decide on it would be the florist (Long Stem Flower Shoppe). The florist was a recommendation from a close friend, but it was still hard for me to make the decision and book them (probably because it’s flowers and for the cost it was a harder decision). I also didn’t know much about bridal bouquets – sizes, my options, etc. Plus there are so many different flowers to pick from and I didn’t know exactly what I wanted early on in the wedding process.
Which florist did you end up choosing?
I went with Long Stem Flower Shop. They were easy to work with, very friendly & accommodating.
What made you choose KiSSandMaKeUp for your special day?
Alison Marie Photography’s recommendation – Alison raved about Pam and her work. Alison and I are friends and I trusted her recommendation. I also loved her work on social media. Pam’s team was amazing for both my trial and wedding day. The entire experience working with Pam was perfect – Pam and her team made me feel so special, relaxed and the prettiest bride ever!
Here at KiSSandMaKeUp, we know that planning a wedding can be like navigating a foreign land- scary and confusing. It is a day that you have been thinking about for your entire life and planning it for just as long.
