Valentine’s Day is coming up soon! No matter what your plans are for the evening, perfect hair and makeup is a must-have! Our team has some tips on how to look and feel your best for this holiday. This Valentine’s Day is for self-love! Read on for some great tips from our artists on Valentine’s Date Night Hair and Makeup Looks & Tips!
Foundation is Key
The key to having good makeup is good skin. Make sure you are layering up with a heavy duty moisturizer prior to foundation. You may have seen this product recommended in a couple previous blogs. The reason is our makeup artists absolutely swear by it during this time of year!
Must Have Item: Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre
That Perfect Red Lip
Red Lips are the perfect addition to Valentine’s Day but it must be done RIGHT! Don’t pair a bold red lip with heavy, smokey eyes. You want balance. Red lips are great but can be hard to achieve without bleeding. Our artists recommend using a lip liner pencil before applying red lipstick to prevent bleeding. This red truly looks good on everyone!
Must Have Item: Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored
“February also means pale skin, so I suggest a light dusting of bronzer and blush. My favorites right now are Benefit Hoola and Benefit Benetint for a very natural looking glow.” Jenn | Makeup Artist
Let’s switch over to hair! We consulted hair stylist Abbe for her tips on luscious hair in this dry weather!
“I would love to chat quickly about STATIC!!! So many struggle this time of year. Our hair is dry and needs moisture. Do deep conditioning treatments. You can rub dryer sheets on your hair and if you don’t like the scented… buy unscented, they work too! Wax blast by redken is a fav and smells awesome! If that doesn’t work, try some hairspray! Avoid plastic combs and bristles, they will make you look like a crazy cat!!!”
