April 1, 2020
This is certainly a strange time for wedding professionals. We miss our clients more than ever, but your safety is the utmost important to us. Our studio grand opening had to go virtual (although we had a blast!) and we are coming up with new ways on Instagram (@kissandmakeupct) to share our work and our passion.
What’s next? As with all wedding vendors, communication is key. We are willing to work with you to reschedule your trials and become flexible with postponement dates.
Here are some important items as far as rescheduling:
Pam’s assistant and bridal coordinator Randi will reach out to you you reschedule your April trial. To make it easier for you, she will already have a list of the artist’s availability. We would like to schedule your trial as close to your date as possible. We also prefer to schedule on a weeknight, since all weekends we need to keep open for brides rescheduling their wedding. Weekends are not out of the question we would just prefer that is your second choice. If you are unavailable when your original artists are available, we will give you the option of being booked with a new artist/stylist.
If your wedding was postponed, we truly feel for you. We cannot even imagine having to wait for your big day after all that planning. Please be reassured that we will be there every step of the way during this stressful time. Please email Randi if you plan on postponing your wedding, the sooner the better as our dates are filling up quickly. Your contract and deposit will be transferred to the new date if we are available. Pam will be in contact with you directly if we are not available to discuss your options.
Stay Positive!
Remember, we are all in this together. Some of our team is out of work until they can open their businesses again. Some of our team is out on the front line as ICU nurses working hard, long hours to fight this virus. Together we can remain strong and connected though this challenging time and come out the other side better than ever.
Seek Creative Outlets
If you are working from home or quarantined, this is a great time to learn a new skill or try a new hobby. A lot of stores are still offering curb-side pickup and delivery from many websites is also still available. Learn calligraphy so you can personally write your invitations. Try out that Pinterest project you have saved. Channeling your energy into creativity will help you find your inner calm throughout this. Make a vision board! We have inspiration from our last vision board workshop you can check out here. You can also use this time to declutter and cleanse. Clean out your makeup bag with some tips from our latest blog here.
Social Distance & Chill
Connect with your friends through a Zoom call or Skype chat. Utilize your laptops and hop on the new Netflix Party feature where you can live chat and sync up your favorite movie or tv show. There are so many ways to stay connected while staying distant.
Support One Another
Now, more than ever, small businesses and restaurants need your help to stay afloat. Consider buying gift cards to use when businesses open again. Better yet, gifting a gift card to a friend or family who is considered essential and has been working during this pandemic.
