As you may have noticed, our team has been growing, a lot! KiSSandMaKeUp has been so fortunate the past year to have so many new artists walk through our doors. As our team grows and our client list expands, the back end of any company has many moving pieces. Last week, we introduced you to our business and bridal assistant, Alyssa. As a contact between brides and artists, Alyssa helps makes sure emails are responded to quickly, trials are booked, and our artists know exactly what their schedule looks like. This ensures everyone is on the same page and our clients have the most stress-free process!
Next up, we would like to introduce you to our blogger, Michelle!
Hi, I’m Michelle!
I get to hang out behind the laptop and research all things beauty. AKA: DREAM JOB! I keep track of the latest trends, upcoming events, and collect tips from the amazing team of artists here at KiSSandMaKeUp.
My passion for writing started way back in High School. I was fortunate enough to have graduated from SUNY Purchase in New York in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing and Minor in Literature. I am currently studying at University of Hartford, pursuing a graduate degree in Paralegal Studies so I can become more involved with legal issues from the inside and utilize writing in a different way. I have been a freelance writer for the past 10 years, having had the opportunity to be published in Westchester Magazine and several websites in the wedding industry. With a deep-rooted love of fashion, makeup, glitter, costumes, and crafting, the wedding industry was the perfect fit for me when I entered into a marketing position for a beauty company in 2015. I immersed myself in all things hair and makeup to learn every trick and detail, even attending a professional makeup course and booking a couple of my own clients!
Yearning for more involvement, I transitioned into wedding planning, while using my experiences to fuel my writing. I was so excited to meet Pam a year ago. I knew it would be a perfect fit to work with someone with so much creative energy. Pam’s love for her craft and her clients shows. It has been an absolute pleasure to vibe off of such an exceptionally talented and professional team. Often, I will just scroll through the instagram photos and become immediately inspired to write a new blog!
My biggest focus as the blogger for KiSSandMaKeUp is you all! I am engaged, too, so I know what it’s like! It’s a crazy journey to plan a wedding and every detail matters. I pull from topics that I get a lot of questions about from my clients or engaged friends so everything you read is relatable and worth your time. If there’s ever anything you want covered, just let me know!
