I was inspired to start yet another business because of my need to find a new creative outlet.  I had 3 surgeries on my hands in the past due to over-usage as a Salon owner, Potter, Gardener, and Cook – my hobbies and professions took their toll on my hands!  I needed to find an escape from stress and quiet my mind, but it also needed to be easy on my hands. So creating candles was my choice. When I began, I did not expect it to become a business. My intent was to just enjoy quiet time and share them with friends and family. I started in November 2019 and people were excited about them so sales were happening (to my surprise!) When COVID hit, I took advantage of the shutdown, poured more candles, and created a website and I was off and running!

Healing Stone Candles are different than any candles I know of because they have a healing gemstone in each candle. My candle jar in particular has a QR code to scan when you get to the bottom of the candle, which brings you to my website to identify your stone and receive a healing massage. I like to believe that the universe chooses your stone for you based on the message that you are most in need of receiving at the time you get the candle.

My goal and mission are to continue to grow this business in order to fulfill my need to challenge my creativity while enjoying peace of mind.   I am very passionate about my spirituality and am an extensive rock and gemstone collector, so I enjoy sharing my knowledge of the stones and their healing properties. This brand is a complete representation of who I am.

I have a couple of favorites, but I am obsessed with one in-particular called “Walk In The Woods.” I have been blessed enough to have experienced the rainforest in Belize, and this candle brings me right back to sitting under the canopies of leaves and the sunlight pouring in between them. The smell is so distinct and this candle makes me feel like I’m there all over again.
