Happy Wedding Wednesday and happy belated Fourth of July! Today we introduce the last artist in our CT wedding hair and makeup artist series! Bonne has been with KiSSandMaKeUp for 3 years.

Growing up, Bonne’s early years were consumed with both dance and soccer. It wasn’t until she was in 8th grade that she discovered she enjoyed playing with makeup too.

Once she was in high school, Bonne began not only doing her friends makeup but also cleaning up their eyebrows (all self-taught). While Bonne continued to practice her makeup skills, she did not plan on using her makeup artist skills as her career. After graduating high school, Bonne attended Capital Community College and obtained her Associates Degree in Science and a Certification in Radiography. Shortly after graduation, she went to work as a Cat Scan Technologist.

Bonne spent 8 years as a Cat Scan Technologist before accepting a job as a CT Technologist at Hartford Hospital. This is when she met Pam. This was just the person he needed to meet! Throughout her entire hospital career, makeup continued to be Bonne’s hobby. It gave her a break from the chaotic hospital live and she used it as a stress reliever. After meeting Pam, she decided to get certified as a makeup artist. Bonne was certified through the International Institute of Cosmetology in 2012 and shortly after she approached Pam for a shadowing opportunity. Pamela credits Bonne for pushing her to grow her business. Bonne was relentless in pursuing Pamela and requesting to work with her.

Bonne didn’t stop there. Remember how she used to do eyebrows in high school? Well, Bonne took an interest in Micro-blading last year and completed the Micro-blading course in Sept. 2016 @ Eye design in NYC. This is a service that will be offered in the summer of 2017 by Bonne and KiSSandMaKeUp!.

In her free time, Bonne is often spending time with her son and daughter. She is also very busy planning her own wedding, which is November of this year! When relaxing, she is also a Game of Thrones fan.

Bonne, in her career in both a hospital setting and beauty, finds that her love is with caring and healing people. She enjoys the idea of helping people feel beautiful and good about themselves. The human touch is so important and heals in so many positive ways. True to her holistic nature, Bonne enjoys hearing about different experiences that people have and feels everyone comes in contact with those around them for a reason- this fits perfectly with her career choices. With loads of experiences and a nurturing personality, any bride would feel spoiled with Bonne as her makeup artist!
